We sold our very last peaches of the season on Friday, September 21st and the last of the pears on Wednesday, September 26th. Now we are surrounded by apples and pumpkins and cider! The season may have changed but the delicious, homegrown goodness continues here in Utica. There are a vast selection of apple varieties available to pick yourself or buy here in the market. The price is $1.75 per pound for all varieties for PYO and in the market. We are making fresh cider twice a week and our pumpkin patch is ready for picking and family photos.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 10-5PM you can find Bailey’s Drive Inn Donuts here at the orchard serving up Apple Cider Donuts made from our cider. They are $5 for a half dozen and we may be a bit biased but they are delicious! Also, Goumas Confections is making caramel apples (with and without nuts) from our Rubinette apples and you can buy them here in our market for $3 each. We are proud to partner with these Licking County businesses to create tasty fall treats!
This Saturday, Huckleberry Homestead will be here from 11-4PM sampling apple pies made from our apples as well as pumpkin bread, banana nut bread and more. You can buy their home baked goodies here in our market as well. You can also find apple butter and apple and peach jams made with this season’s fruit by Urban Spreads of Columbus.
We have mums, gourds, mini straw bales, Indian corn, and lots of other fall decor for your home. All pumpkins are $6 each no matter how large or pick up three pumpkins for $15. This includes already picked and PYO (pick your own) pumpkins.
